Paul Svoboda

My name is Paul Svoboda and I am from Denver, Colorado in the United States. Currently, I am studying an International Master in Management at EADA business school, located in Barcelona, Spain. I am looking to gain professional experience in the area of Marketing and I am currently looking for an internship within Spain and the greater European Union. I will finish my degree this September 2009, however I am available to work full-time from June onwards.
Before coming to Barcelona, I completed two Bachelor degrees in Anthropology and German from Arizona State University, located in Tempe, Arizona. In addition to studying at the main campus in Tempe, I also completed a one year exchange program with the University of Heidelberg, located in Heidelberg, Germany.
I have about four and a half years of full-time work work experience, mostly in the service industry, as I had to work during the majority of my undergraduate career as well as after graduation. From 2004 until 2008 I worked for the Arizona Country Club and Coca-Cola Enterprises, both located in Phoenix, Arizona and for the Hotel Teatro in Denver, Colorado. One of my highlights while working at the Hotel Teatro was taking part in the Democratic National Convention, which was held in Denver, Colorado last August 2008.
I am a native English speaker and have intermediate Spanish and German skills, both written and spoken. In addition to this, I am proficient in Microsoft Office and have strong Internet search skills.
2 contactsWhile working at Hotel Teatro, I performed a variety of activities including assisting guests with their luggage, parking & retrieving vehicles, & providing hotel shuttle service to guests. One of the highlights of working at the hotel was participating in the Democratic National Convention in the summer of 2008.
My last position at the Arizona Country Club was that of customer service representative. I was responsible for the daily operations of the Sports Café including opening & closing the café, taking inventory, preparing food & beverage service, & catering private parties.
I was responsible for stocking selected stores with Coca-Cola products within the region with the highest distribution volume in the United States (Southwest Region, Phoenix.)
