Claire Berge
Freelance Interpreter
Living in India for the last years, I have been able to complete my educational knowledge with practical use of the language.
I have been working with NGO and other Social Organizations on the issue of the women in rural India (BGVS-2006) and the Land Reform (ekta Parishad 2007).
As an interpreter, I work with media from Europe and India.
My long stay in India has provided me the skills for logistics that can be useful for groups visiting for the first time.
F.Gaignault and M. Monteaux, journalist and photographer have decided to walk the mythic Salt March, done by Gandhiji in 1930. From this experience, they wrote a book.
My task:
* Interpreter in interviews with freedom fighters
* Logistics (accomodations, driver, transports...)
* Research and compilation of files regarding the Salt March
* Interpretation from Hindi to French and English for European media team: organization and logistic of the interviews.
* Interpretation fron Hindi to French and English in the medical camp organized on Janadesh.
* Translation of audio records and creation of subtitles for documentary.
* Contact with the indian local newspapers
