Jesús Fabre Cascales
Social Media Manager at RetroMadrid. Organization staff, ARSGAMES
As passionate about videogames culture, since 2009, I'm involved in cultural event managing at RetroMadrid fair. I also manage the event's community on Facebook and Twitter.
At the moment I'm studying the brand new "Communication and learning in Digital Society" Master Degree at University of Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), where I also collaborate with the teaching staff on a scolarship. I'm focusing on complementing my technical skills with researching about new media, education and videogames.
In 2010 I also joined Arsgames, a collective that focuses on Game Arts and Game Studies, where I participate at both game preservation and teaching with games areas.
In 2009, I started my road promoting classic videogames as an artistic form of expression and give conferences about videogames history, since I find classic games are a great source to learn from for the industry profesionals and of course, the players.
I have a strong IT background education, since I studied a Major and a Master Degree in Computer Sciences (speciality in telematics). I've put special interest in the power of the information sent through the Internet. During four years of intense work, I participated on eGovernment projects using security related technologies, using semantic technologies and took part in very different development projects, from desktop and mobile applications to big Web 2.0 portals.
